Southwind Animal Hospital is committed to provide pets and their owners with a high standard of medical care and customer service. Our new veterinary office is a beautiful, modern facility where your pet can receive the best care available in the Maryville area. Our hospital offers a friendly and inviting atmosphere where your pets are treated as our own.
Dr. Diane Laviola started Southwind Animal Hospital on March 1st, 2013, with her husband Mark. Together with a wonderful clinic staff, they have created an amazing facility where every pet and their parents are treated with care and respect. Unfortunately, due to major medical issues with her parents, Diane needed to take an extended leave of absence from the clinic. Dr. Heather Lollar purchased the clinic in August 2013 and will continue to provide quality care along with Dr. Lindsey Hill and the talented staff of Southwind Animal Hospital.
Dr. Heather Lollar has lived in Maryville for almost her entire life. She graduated from Maryville High School in 1998 (as Heather Puckett) and continued on to the University of Tennessee for both undergraduate classes and Vet School. She graduated in 2007 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Blount County for over 6 years. Heather has a 2 year human son named Braiden, 7 canine kids, and 3 feline children plus a multitude of foster animals at any given time. Thankfully, Robby puts up with all the rescues, fosters, and patients she brings home, and he has been a tremendous help with the transition to owner of Southwind Animal Hospital. Dr. Heather is very excited about the future of Southwind Animal Hospital!
Dr. Lindsey Hill is a Maryville native, having graduated from William Blount High School and Maryville College. She graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine at the top of her class in 2013. She loves preventative medicine, parasite prevention, feline medicine, and oncology. In her spare time she enjoys reading, leisure hiking in the Smokey Mountains, and binge-watching television shows. She was an active member of an animal rescue organization (ARFNETS) for over 5 years before they disbanded in 2012.
